by the

MEMBER OF THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC
                           DEVELOPMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS

HUNTING SEASONS, DAILY BAG LIMITS AND HUNTING BY PROHIBITED HUNTING
              METHODS

1. I, Mcebisi Jonas, Member of the Executive               Council responsible      for Economic
               Development,    Environmental Affairs and Tourism ( DEDEAT ) in the Province of the
               Eastern Caps, acting In terms of sections 29, 33, 78 , 79 and 82 of the Nature and
               Environmental    Conservation Ordinance,       1974 (Ordinance       No. 19 of 1974)         (the
               Ordinance),    and Section     18 of ths Problem        Animal    Control   Ordinance, 1957
               (Ordinance 26 of 1957) hereby -

(a) determine for the year 2012 the hunting season and the dally bag limits, as set out
                   in the second and third columns, respectively, of Schedule 1 hereto,                 in the
                   Magisterial Districts of the Province of the Eastern Cape of the former Province of
                   the Cape of Good Hope and In respect of wild animals mentioned In the first column
                   of the said Schedule 1, and I hereby suspend the enforcement of sections 29 and
                   33 of the Ordinance to the extent specified In the fourth column of the said Schedule
                   1, in the districts and In respect of the species of wild animals and for the periods of
                   the year 2012 indicated opposite any such suspension in the first and second
                   columns, respectively, of the said Schedule 1.

(b) prohibit hunting at night provided that anyone Intending to hunt at night for
                   management purposes by culling any of the unrestricted wild animals or hunting
                   black-backed jackal and caracal, in accordance with the Ordinance, must apply to
                   the Department for a permit as outlined in the Addendum hereto [see attached copy
                   on pages 11 & 12], and must further notify the relevant Departmental office, during
                   office hours, prior to such Intended hunt.

(c) Prohibit use of any motor vehicle or aircraft to hunt any wild animal or to hunt,
                   disturb, drive or stampede any wild animal or animals for the purpose of filming or
                   photographing such hunt, disturbance, drive or stampede or for any other purpose
                   whatsoever, without a permit

(d) Restrict the live transportation of any wild anlmal/s, excluding birds, to the period 31
                   March to 31 October 2012, subject to the provisions of the ordinance
