NOTICE OF THE FIRST SITTING OF THE SEVENTH
                                           Mpumalanga PROVINCIAL LEGISLATURE

11 June 2024
                   I, Segopotje Sheila Mphahlele, the Judge President of the Mpumalanga Division of the High Court of
                   South Africa, have been designated by the Chief Justice of the Republic of South Africa, Chief Justice
                   RMM Zondo, in terms of sections 110(1), 111(2) and 128(2) of the Constitution of the Republic of South
                   Africa, to determine the date of the first sitting and to preside over the election  of the Premier and
                   Speaker of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature (“the Legislature”).

By virtue of the powers vested in me, I determine the 14  of June 2024 as the date upon which the

                   Sitting  of the Legislature  shall take  place;  10h00  as  the  time and the  Legislature  Chamber in
                   Mbombela, as the place for the Sitting.

The Sitting of the Legislature shall deal with the following business:
                      ?   Administering of Oath or Affirmation to Members of the Provincial Legislature in terms of section
                         107 of the Constitution;
                      ?   Election of the Premier  of the  Province of Mpumalanga in terms of section 128(1)  of the
                         Constitution; and
                      ?   Election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Provincial Legislature of Mpumalanga in
                         terms of Section 111(1) of the Constitution.
