CUSTOMS AND EXCISE ACT, 1964 SCHEDULE NO. 10 (NO. 10/7) Under section 49(5) and 49(5B) and for the purposes of section 49(1)(a) of the said section of the Customs and Excise Act, 1964, Part 8 is inserted after Part 7 as set out in the Schedule hereto with effect from 1 January 2021. DR DAVID MASONDO DEPUTY MINISTER OF FINANCE SCHEDULE By the insertion of the following: PART 8 AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING THE AFRICAN CONTINENTAL FREE TRADE AREA NOTES: 1. (a) Part 8 contains the full text of the Agreement with the exception of Annex II concerning the definition of the concept of ‘originating products’ and methods of administrative cooperation, which is incorporated as Part F in the Schedule to the General Notes to Schedule No. 1. (b) Any note to such Annex shall mutatis mutandis apply to any other relevant provisions of this Agreement. (c) The AfCFTA column in Part 1 and the General Notes to the said Schedule provide for the abolishment of duty or reduced rates of duty, as the case may be, contemplated in this Agreement.
