                                                  NOTICE  35/2019

PROMULGATION OF THE 2019/2020 MUNICIPAL PROPERTY RATES TARIFFS
                                     AND THE RATES POLICY AND BY-LAW

Notice is hereby given in terms of section 22(a)(i) of the Municipal Finance Management Act 56
             of 2003 and Section 18(1) of the Municipal Budget and Reporting Regulations and Section 6
             and 14 of the Local Government Property Rates Act, 2004 as amended that the Final 2019/2020
             MTREF Budget, Tariff structure and Rates Policy and By-Law were adopted at a Blue Crane
             Route Municipal Special Council Meeting on the 27 June 2019.

The Tariffs were approved according to the following structure percentage increases:

?  6% increase for rates,
                ?  6% increase for water, refuse, sanitation and sundry,
                ?  13.07% increase for electricity approved by NERSA.

See the Table underneath reflecting the increases on the 2019/2020 Rates Tariffs.

             The above-mentioned  rates  are payable as from  1 July 2019  until  30  September  2019,  thereafter
             interest at the official rate will be charged unless rates are paid monthly.
             Arrangements can be made with the Revenue Office, situated at 67 Nojoli Street, , Somerset East to
             pay rates on a yearly basis.
