DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

No. 211                                                                             28 March 2014

INCREASE IN RESPECT OF SOCIAL GRANTS

The Minister of Social Development has, in terms of the Social Assistance

Act, 2004 (Act No. 13 of 2004) as amended, with the concurrence of the
                  Minister of Finance, announced the increase in social grants.

The new maximum monthly social grant amounts are as follows:

The increase will be effected on 01 April 2014 with a further adjustment of

R10   in October 2014 for the Child Support Grant and                 Grant-in-Aid

respectively.
