In terms of section 305 of the Financial Sector Regulation Act, 2017 (Act No. 9 of 2017) ("the
                FSRA"), I, Tito Titus Mboweni, Minister of Finance hereby-

(a)    amend Genera Notice No, 169of29 March 2818 bv the substitution for "1 April 201Q"of
                       "1 April 302O"in--
                       (i)    paragraph (g) of that Notice; and
                       (ii)   paragraph (h) of that Notima, wherever that date mppemrm, other than in relation to
                              the consequential amendment repealing the Financial Services Ombud Schemes
                              Act, 2004 (Act No. 37 of 2004); and
                       amend General Notice 1019 of 28 September 2018 by the deletion of paragraph (b), and
                       determine that Chapter 14 (sections 175to217) ofthe FSRA takes effect on i September
                       2019; and
                /c)    determine that section 290 of the FSRA takes effect on the date of publication of this notice
                       in the Gazette in respect of
                       (i)    item 2 of the amendments to the Pension Funds Act, 1958 (Act No. 24 of 1956)
                              contained in Schedule 4 to the FSRA, to the extent that it provides for the insertion
                              of section 1 B into the Pension Funds Act; and
                       (ii)   item 9(b) of the amendments to the Co-operative Banks Act, 2007 (Act No. 40 of
                              2807\ contained in Schedule 4 to the FGRA, which provides for the insertion in
                              section 44 of the Co-operative Banks Act of subsection (4).
