GAMBLING AND BETTING ACT, 1997
                            (EASTERN CAPE) (ACT NO. 5 OF 1997) (as amended)
                     NOTICE OF LODGEMENT OF APPLICATIONS FOR AN ADDITION
                        OF PREMISES TO A BOOKMAKER LICENCE, REMOVAL OF
                     BUSINESS TO OTHER PREMISES AND TRANSFER OF LICENCE
                                              TO ANOTHER PERSON
              NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that applications for an addition of premises to a bookmaker licence, removal of
              premises and transfer of licence to another person in terms of sections 36 and 37 respectively, of the Gambling
              and Betting Act, 1997 (Act No. 5 of 1997) (Eastern Cape) (as amended), particulars of which are set out in the
              Schedules hereunder, have been lodged with the Eastern Cape Gambling and Betting Board.
              The applications may be inspected by any person at the offices of the Eastern Cape Gambling and Betting Board,
              ECGBB Building, Quenera Park, Quenera Drive, Beacon Bay, East London and at Buffalo City Metropolitan,
              Lukhanji and Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipalities.
              Any objections, petitions or representations shall be lodged with the Chief Executive Officer of the Board within
              one (1) month of the date of this notice, commencing on 17 July until 16 August 2013.
              All objections and comments shall specify: the application to which the objection or comment relates; the
              grounds on which the objection is founded; in the case of comment; full particulars or facts in substantiation
              thereof: the name, address, telephone and fax number of the objector or person making the comment and a
              statement whether the objector or person making the comment wishes to make oral representations when the
              application is heard.
              A person lodging representations may show cause why the Board may determine that his or her identity should
              not be divulged.
              The under-mentioned figures used in brackets in Schedules have the following meanings:
                          The name and address of the applicant;
                          If the applicant is a company or other corporate body, the names of all persons who
                          have a financial or other interest of 5% or more in the applicant;
                          In the case of a company the initials and surnames of all directors of the company;
                          The type of application applied for; and
                          The address of the premises from which the applicant intends to operate from.
