Notice – ITHALA SOC LIMITED

NOTICE  OF  EXPIRY  OF  EXEMPTION  NOTICE,  DESIGNATION  BY  THE
                    PRUDENTIAL AUTHORITY OF AN INSTITUTION WHICH SHALL NOT BE
                    DEEMED TO CONSTITUTE “THE BUSINESS OF A BANK” UNDER PARAGRAPH
                    (CC) IN SECTION 1(1) OF THE BANKS ACT, 1990 (ACT 94 OF 1990) AS
                    PUBLISHED IN GOVERNMENT GAZETTE NO.47063 DATED 22 JULY 2022

The Prudential Authority hereby gives notice of the Expiry on 15 December 2023 of
                    the Exemption Notice “Designation by the Prudential Authority of certain activities of
                    Ithala SOC Limited” which was issued in terms of Government Notice Number 1169,
                    as published in Government Gazette 47063 on 22 July 2022 and which designated
                    that the business of Ithala SOC Limited shall not be deemed to constitute the business
                    of a bank until 15 December 2023, subject to the conditions of the Exemption Notice.
