MUNICIPAL NOTICE 48 OF 2017

PUBLIC NOTICE

CALLING  FOR INSPECTION  OF THE  FORTH  SUPPLEMENTARY  VALUATION ROLL  AND
               LODGING OF OBJECTIONS AGAINST THE VALUATION OF A PROPERTY

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49(1) (a) (i) read together with section 78(2) of the Local
               Government:  Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act No 6 of 2004), that the Forth Supplementary
               Valuation Roll for  the period  1  July  2017  to  30  June 2018  is open for  public  inspection at  the

               Umhlabuyalingana  Municipal  offices, R22 KwaNgwanase up to the  23   June  2017  during  office
               hours.  In addition the Supplementary  Valuation Roll is available  on Council’s website  at
               http://www.umhlabuyalingana.gov.za

Property owners, or  any other person(s) who may  wish  to  do so,  are hereby invited  in  terms of
               Section 49(1)(a)(ii) of the Act to lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any
               matter  reflected  in,  or  omitted from, the  Forth  Supplementary  Valuation  Roll  within the
               abovementioned period.

Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of Section 50(2) of the Act an objection must
               be in relation to the valuation of a specific individual property and not against the Valuation Roll as
               such.  Owners wishing to object to their property’s valuation, or a valuation of a specific individual
               property, must submit an objection in writing on the prescribed manner.  Objection forms can be
               collected at the offices of the Umhlabuyalingana Municipality, during office hours.  An objection form
               can also be downloaded from Council’s website:  http://www.umhlabuyalingana.gov.za

The completed forms must be returned and reach us on or before the closing date of 23  June 2017.
