NOTICE NQ CS 31/2016

PUBLIC NOTICE CALLING FOR INSPECTION OF THE FOURTH SUPPLEMENTARY VALUATION
               ROLL AND LODGING OF OBJECTIONS

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(i) read together with section 78(2) of the Local
               Government  : Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act n2 6 of 2004), amended by Act No 29/2014,
               hereinafter referred to as the "Act ", that the fourth supplementary valuation roll for the 2015/2016 financial
               year will be open for public inspection at the Municipal Offices, Murchison Street, Newcastle, all libraries
               within the area of jurisdiction of the Newcastle Municipality,  the  satellite  offices  at  Madadeni,
               Osizweni,   Stafford,  Ngagane and  Charlestown    as  well  as  the  Municipality's  website
               www.newcastle.gov.za from 1 June 2016 to 30 June 2016.

An invitation is hereby made in terms of section 49(1)(a)(ii) read together with section 78(2) of the Act that
               any owner of property or other person who so desires, should lodge an objection with the Municipal
               Manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from, the fourth supplementary valuation roll
               within the abovementioned period.

Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of section 50(2) of the Act an objection must be in
               relation to a specific individual property and not against the fourth supplementary valuation roll as such.

The form for the lodging of an objection is obtainable at the aforementioned addresses or on the
               aforesaid website.
