                                              MUNICIPAL NOTICE 26 OF 2019

PUBLIC NOTICE CALLING FOR INSPECTION OF THE GENERAL VALUATION ROLL 01JULY 2019 –
                                      30 JUNE 2024 AND LODGING OF OBJECTIONS

Notice is hereby given in terms of section 49(1) (a) (I) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates
             Act, 2004 (Act 6/2004), hereinafter referred to as the “Act” that the general valuation rolls for the financial
             years 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2024 lies open for public inspection at the various municipal offices & libraries
             within the municipal boundaries and/or in addition at www.Abaqulusi.gov.za from 01 April 2019 to 30 April
             2019.
             An invitation is hereby made in terms of section 49(1)(a)(ii) of the Act that any owner of property or other
             person who so desires should lodge an objection with the municipal manager in respect of any matter
             reflected in, or omitted from, the general valuation rolls within the above-mentioned period.
             Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of section 50(2) of the Act an objection must be in
             relation to a specific individual property and not against the valuation rolls as such. The objection form for
             the lodging of an objection is obtainable at the various municipal offices and/or libraries within the
             municipal boundaries and/or website www.Abaqulusi.gov.za

Objection forms are obtainable from the main municipal offices (corner of Mark and Hoog Street Vryheid)
             (Reception  and  Customer  services  section)  or  on  the  municipality’s  web  site  (www.abaqulusi.gov.za).
             Objection forms must be completed and returned on or before the closing date and time by hand at the
             municipal offices room number (11) or to P O Box 57, VRYHEID 3100. This notice was published for the
             first time on 14 March 2019
