                       Public Notice Calling for Inspection of the Third Supplementary Valuation Roll and Lodging of Objections

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(i) of the Local Government Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act No 6 of 2004)
             hereinafter referred to as the “Act” that the third supplementary valuation roll prepared in terms of Section 78 of the Act for the
             financial year 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016 will be open for public inspection at the municipal offices.
             An invitation is hereby made in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(ii) of the Act that any owner of property or other person who so desires
             should lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from the supplementary roll.
             The roll will be open for public inspection from 24 May 2016 to 13:00 on Thursday, 30 June 2016 at the Main Municipal Offices,
             Vryheid Library and the Municipality’s website.
             Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of Section 50(2) of the Act an objection must be in relation to a specific
             individual property and not against the supplementary roll as such.
             Objection forms are obtainable from the Main Municipal Offices (corner of Mark and Hoog Street, Vryheid) (Room 11) or on the
             Municipality’s website (www.abaqulusi.gov.za). Objection forms must be completed and returned on or before the closing date and
             time by hand at the Municipal Offices, Room Number 11 or to PO Box 57, Vryheid 3100.
