                                            PRESCRIBED RATE OF INTEREST
                            (SECTION 1 OF THE PRESCRIBED RATE OF INTEREST ACT, 1975)

(1)    Under section 1(2)(b) of the Prescribed Rate of Interest Act, 1975 (Act No. 55 of 1975), I,
                        Tshililo Michael Masutha, Minister of Justice and Correctional Services hereby publish a
                        rate of interest of 10,50 per cent per annum as from 1 May 2016 for the purposes of

section 1(1) of the said Act.

(2)    Government Notice No. R.226 of 4 March 2016 is hereby withdrawn.

(1)    Kragtens artikel 1(2)(b) van die Wet op die Voorgeskrewe Rentekoers, 1975 (Wet No. 55
                       van 1975), publiseer ek, Tshililo Michael Masutha, Minister van Justisie en Korrektiewe
                       Dienste,  hierby  met  ingang  van  1  Mei  2016    vir  doeleindes van  artikel  1(1)  van
                       genoemde Wet ‘n rente koers van 10,50 persent per jaar.

(2)    Goewermentskennisgewing No. R.226 van 4 Maart 2016 word hierby ingetrek
